BENEFITS OF FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT PERSONS (FIP) GREECE VISA

-Enables the applicant and the family to move into Europe (Greece) 

 

-The residence permit under the FIP Visa is valid for 2 years and can be renewed.

 

-The applicant requires to have a minimum monthly income of ONLY € 2000 and can include the spouse, with an additional income of 20% and 15% for inclusion of each child. Combined income is allowed.

 

-Kids entitled to free education in Greek Public Schools.

 

-Visa-free travel in Europe.

 

-Greece is part of the Schengen zone of Europe, allowing you to travel freely throughout Europe without the need for a Schengen visa.

 

-Living in any Schengen country for 3 months in a 6 month period, is permitted.

 

-Spouse and their unwed children below the age of 18 are eligible to apply.

-Option to apply for citizenship after stay of 7 years.

INTERESTING FACTS: 

-The Greek Islands are at their best from April to October.

-For swimming and beach weather late May to early October is the best.

-For sightseeing, hiking and general exploring mid March to mid November is fine.

-There is ferry service for traveling from one island to the other and it is quite economical. The frequency is high from June to September. In late March, April, May, October and early November, the frequencies of the ferries is lesser but they are regular. From later November to early March the ferry services are almost closed.

-Ferries offer an economy class and business class.

-Greece has eighteen ski resorts.

-Hold no criminal record

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED  

-Valid Passport with at least two blank pages 

-Police Clearance Certificate from the country of origin/country of residence

-Evidence of steady income by submitting statement of pension accounts/bank statements proving minimum income is 2000/month and incase the person is accompanied by the family member, this amount is increased by 20% for the spouse and by 15% for each child. Combined income allowed.

-Insurance Policy to cover medical care and expenses

-Medical certificate from a recognized public or private body, out of which it transpires that the applicant/s  is/are not suffering from an illness capable of constituting a threat to public health according to the international data of the Public Health Organisation (WHO) and the EU acquis, as well as other infectious, contagious or parasitic diseases, which require public health protection measures.

-Recent family status certificate from foreign authorities, which certifies the family relationship for family members, if any.

Q : For how many years is the residency card valid?

A : 2 years and can be renewed for the same period, any number times.

Q : For how many days can I stay in Schengen and UK?

A : 90 Days out of 180 days every year

Q : Will I need to have a visa to travel to any of the countries in the Schengen?

A : You may travel visa free and no registration is required for crossing borders.

Q : Do you need to reside in the country and know the language?

A : It is required for the applicant to stay a minimum of 183 days a year. Knowledge of language is not required.

Q : In what cases can my application be rejected?

A : The application can be rejected in the following cases:

-By providing false information.

-Existence of outstanding conviction or criminal proceedings for serious criminal offences in any country of the world.

-If the applicant poses a potential threat to public order, national security or the reputation of Greece or any other country.

Q : What happens in case of concealment of information or false data has been provided?

A : An applicant shall not pass the due diligence test and the application shall be rejected. An investor can be deprived of the citizenship, if the status was obtained by submitting false information, fraud or concealment of actual information.

Q : Are there any restrictions on the FIP Visa?

A : This is visa is meant for financially independent persons. You are not allowed to work and do any business under this visa category.
